The Flesh Is The Filament.
There is no shade and no diffuser. The bulb sits in the peel split exactly where the fruit would be, so the thing that lights the room is also the thing that finishes the sculpture. Put in a warm amber filament bulb and it glows candle-warm; the joke and the light arrive in the same moment.
Sculpted, Not Squeezed.
Three petals with rolled tips, one strip curling back into a closed ring, and a collar seated flush in the split to take the socket. It is printed as one continuous piece, then sanded and smoothed by hand — no seams, no joins and no rough desktop-printer texture.
An Object First. A Lamp Second.
At 16 cm tall and 15.6 cm across it is roughly twice the size of the fruit, which is why it holds a desk corner, a shelf or a bedside table instead of disappearing on it. Switched off in daylight it still reads as a piece of sculpture.
