Will it fit my bottle?

If the bottle takes a crown cap — the ridged metal cap you would normally lever off — it fits. That neck is a 26 mm world standard, so it works on beer, soda and glass-bottle mixers anywhere.

Where does the cap actually go?

Up and away, a short distance. Point the bottle away from faces and from anything breakable before you press — the launch is the fun part, and it is worth one second of aiming.

How does one press take the cap off?

The lever hinges on a pin between two raised ears on the rim, and a hook underneath catches the cap edge. Pressing the raised tip down rotates the hook up, which pries the cap free. The force goes through the hinge rather than your wrist.

Is it just a party trick?

It opens bottles the ordinary way too — the launch is what it does, not a mode you switch on. With the keyring hole it also happens to be the opener you actually have on you.

Will it scratch the bottle?

The body is polymer rather than steel, so it sleeves down over the glass neck without metal-on-glass scraping.

Does a keyring come with it?

No — you get the hole, not the ring. It takes any standard keyring or lanyard cord you already have.
